Small details. A bigger identity.

Player names, numbers and thoughtful logo placement bring personality to teamwear. Start with a consistent layout, then personalize each garment without losing the shared identity.

START WITH A SHARED DESIGN SYSTEM

Personalization works best when the team has agreed on the details that stay consistent. Decide where the crest sits, how names and numbers are treated and which areas can vary by player. This gives each garment an individual identity without making the collection look disconnected. Keep a master layout that shows the agreed structure before introducing the roster.

USE THE RIGHT VERSION OF THE LOGO

Collect approved source artwork from the organization where possible. A small image copied from a social profile may not communicate the detail needed for a garment. Share the best file available and ask whether another format is required. If sponsors are included, confirm permission and use their current approved marks. Do not redraw or alter another organization's identity without agreement.

MAKE PLAYER INFORMATION UNAMBIGUOUS

Create separate fields for the printed name, number and garment size. Check capitalization, accents, punctuation and nicknames deliberately. If a number can begin with zero, make sure the roster format preserves it. Ask the player or responsible organizer to approve the entry. Comments such as 'same as last year' are less useful than a complete, checked record.

REVIEW PLACEMENT ON THE SELECTED GARMENT

A flat graphic does not explain every detail of the finished garment. Ask how seams, closures, collars and equipment affect the visible artwork area. A crest that looks balanced on one cut may need review on another. Check the proposed placements at their actual scale, and consider how names or long sponsor marks will fit across the required size range.

KEEP CHANGES TRACEABLE

Assign one person to consolidate corrections. Record the updated player entry, the reason for the change and the date it was sent. Request confirmation that the revision has been received and can still be accommodated. Keep one final approval file and retire older versions from active use. This is especially helpful when players join late or several organizers are involved.

BEFORE THE FINAL APPROVAL

  1. 01Every printed name is spelled correctly.
  2. 02Numbers are assigned and checked for duplicates where relevant.
  3. 03Sizes match the selected garment's chart.
  4. 04Team and sponsor artwork is approved.
  5. 05The final layout includes all requested pieces.
  6. 06The organizer has retained the approved roster and quote.

THINK ABOUT THE NEXT ORDER

Keep approved artwork and order references in a place the next organizer can find. Record which parts of the design are essential to the team identity and which can change by season. For a reorder, ask the supplier to confirm available garments, color matching and personalization options again. Retained files make the conversation clearer, but they do not guarantee unchanged availability or pricing.

MAKE THE DETAILS YOURS.
